Our yard is surrounded by trees over a hundred feet tall. A whole forest full. Our yard itself is grass on a plateau bordering the house, a slope with a lot of flowering ground cover, a second plateau we've made into a meadow, and then, well, to be fair, a couple dozen feet of tall trees backing into the forest.

All of this is to say that on foggy days, when the wind is blowing and the fog is moving fast, fog will shoot down into our mostly treeless yard. We get to watch it cascade like a fog waterfall (which is, kinda, what it is) into our treeless space then dissipate. Che bella.
