To keep track of books I've read and books I've tried.
Book links go to WorldCat, which shows the nearest libraries with the book (Turns out WorldCat's owner, OCLC, sucks) Library Thing (as always, check your local library's catalog to find a good book). Author links go to their websites/social media.
Coyote Blue by Christopher Moore - Reread.
~~~~~
The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown - DNF'd. Story? Groovy. Writing? Not my style.
~~~~~
The Actual by Saul Bellow - DNF'd. Utter balderdash. Complete claptrap. Saul Bellow is a Pulitzer Prize, National Book Foundation Medal, and Nobel Prize winning author.
~~~~~
Terra Incognita by Connie Willis - Reading Connie Willis is always a treat.
~~~~~
The Beauty by Aliya Whiteley - DNF'd. 42 pages of men, fungus, and sperm in a womenless society is 42 pages too many.
~~~~~
Murder by Memory by Olivia Waite - Okay story. Great Writing.
Of course every human body was a horrifying collection of juices and tissues, acids and effluvia poured into a bag with a bunch of long rocks, a shambling accident of biology that made its own mysterious and often frustrating decisions without reference to the mind. They were disgusting miracles every one.
~~~~~
When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi - Clever.
~~~~~
The Past is Red by Catherynne M. Valente - Wonderful story. Amazing writing. I felt so anxious for Tetley I had to stop reading occasionally.
~~~~~
Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell - Always a treat to read Rainbow Rowell.
~~~~~
Six-Gun Snow White by Catherynne M. Valente - Think I have an author to add to my favorites!
~~~~~
The Navigating Fox by Christopher Rowe - Neat story. Neat universe.
~~~~~
Vigil by George Saunders - DNF'd. 2nd book of his I've tried to read. Blech.
